Truth Coffee Roasting

The atmosphere was superb, and they even served sparkling water. Although the server recommended the flat white, I preferred their long black. It's a pity I didn’t get to buy the beans. Highly recommended!

Don't be surprised if there are more tourists than locals. Eclectic decor, which hasn't changed since I can remember, and an interesting menu both unique in options and that items can be ordered across the range. Service is excellent, and street parking is possible, most tourists arrive on foot or by Uber. My partner and I tested 5 types of coffee, and we sampled some desert and snacks. All were enjoyable. Locals may feel that prices are a bit steep, but from my point of view, Truth is a fascinating experience.

The sunrise espresso was delicious - it has a hint of caramel flavor, although it's juice orange juice blended with espresso. My advice would be to increase the food portion size.I wouldn't come again because it was too pricey for small portions. Our shakshuka was small even though we added items to it. Their french toast did not come with whipped cream, thus very sweet. The atmosphere is unique and more of pub look ( although coffee house). The chairs are not comfortable ( giving more of a come and go fast vibe) , and the table has sharp edges. I didn't notice that the ceiling had hanging plugs until I hit my head on one. The waitress should have given the guest a warning about this or let them know where they can plug their electronics. Having been to so many cafés in CapeTown, this is not my favorite . It's more of a tourist trap. Its target customers are tourists and not locals, hence exuberant prices. Rather, go to kloof Street, where you would find an abundance of restaurants to choose from. However, if you are a coffee lover, this cafe is a must try.

0 إجابةThe place was stunningly decorated. Baristas, waiters and waitresses were dressed nicely and they are definitely extremely friendly. Coffee was up to our standards and expectations, amazing. French toast was perfectly cooked and balanced in sweetness as well. I do highly recommend this place!

I asked for mayo and was told it would be an additional R30 Its not so much the amount although I feel R30 for mayo is egregious. Its the fact that the sandwich is dry and needs something. I will certainly not have a sandwich here again. I may return for the coffee. IMPORTANT UPDATE: I received a response from Ken offering not only to make things right but to have a conversation with the chef to improve customer experience. I was most impressed by the sincerity and willingness to listen to a customer and find a solution. With an individual like this who gets it I had to increase my rating to 5 stars. It is not how we fall but how we get up that counts. Thank you Ken! I do look forward to meeting you one day. Very few get hospitality. You do! Thank you.
